MOLYBDENUM DISULPHIDE COATING

Properties of MoS2 Coating

Molybdenum Disulfide Coatings (MoS2 coatings) are also referred to as Moly Coatings. Moly coating is formed by the combination of high performance resins with molybdenum disulfide lubricant. MoS2 coatings are typically thermally cured and then thoroughly connected to the coated part’s base metal.

MoS2 coatings offer remarkable lubrication in a variety of loads, even in cases that exceed 250,000 psi. These coatings happen to be a dry film lubricant and are known to lubricate by transferring the lubricant between the two mating surfaces, eventually reducing wear and COF.

MoS2 Coating Applications

Moly coating are generally used in applications that require a lubricant which is highly durable and does not react much when in use. These coatings find their usage in industries where load carrying potential, coefficient of friction (COF) and operating pressure are the key concerns.

At Al Saud Advanced Coating Systems, we provide our customers with Molykote coatings, Lube-Lok coatings, Everlube coatings, Perma-Slik coatings, Ever-Slik coatings, and Ecoalube coatings amongst others.
